Finding free stuff
Many educators are looking to the Web to make the sharing of learning resources 'free and easy'. This presentation addresses questions such as: What does free mean? Where do I find this stuff? How good is it? And what can I do with it?
As well as highlighting how to find open education resources, images and media, the session helps educators understand licences used when sharing online resources, including Creative Commons, and shows ways to record attribution in different types of situations.

Cultural bridges
The Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians (MCEETYA Dec 2008) places strong emphasis on both global citizenship and the valuing of Australia's indigenous cultures in the goal of developing active and informed citizens.
This session examines a range of quality resources available online to support these priority areas, The online environment can also facilitate constructionist learning by providing a range of tools and a focus on creating communities of learning. Participants will be encouraged to brainstorm learning activities based on these resources.

This session shows the potential of a professional learning environment that puts the individual educator at the centre. By providing a semi-structured template for education and training professionals to describe their work, their background and their work-related interests, me.edu.au uses tagging and RSS to connect people and ideas within a supported online environment. It is designed to help the online novice establish a professional digital footprint, and to help those with a splattered online identity regain control of it.

e-portfolios
This presentation provides an introduction to e-portfolios and examples of their use in all sectors of Australian education and training. Whether e-portfolios are being used for developmental learning, reflection, assessment, employability or presentation purposes, issues such as ownership, resourcing, technical solutions and user support need to be addressed.

Integrating ICT in learning
This hands-on workshop allows participants to experience ways to incorporate ICT into learning delivered via quick lesson templates. Discover activities and practical ideas using freely available digital resources and accessible technologies to enhance teaching practice.The emphasis is on ways to enhance use of interactive whiteboards, multimedia digital stories and Web 2.0 in everyday teaching, student research and assessment activities.
Moodle basics
This hands-on workshop will familiarise participants with the Moodle virtual learning environment. Participants will learn how to add resources and create activities in Moodle as preparation for participating in professional learning activities, creating online lessons and/or getting involved in online projects.
edna Groups and OzProjects are both Moodle environments supported by edna, and this session will be useful to educators wanting to find out about Moodle, as well as to new Group Owners. teacher education students and teachers interested in participating in online projects. The session is focused on educational use of Moodle not on installing or administering Moodle.

Many teachers are meeting and learning online through web conferencing, virtual worlds, skype and chat. This session provides an opportunity to see some of these tools demonstrated, learn how to get started and discuss issues involved in participating and presenting in an online classroom environment.
