The edna search enables searching of multiple quality assured education and training collections, both Australian and international as well as edna. It is available as a Standard or a Distributed Search. The Advanced Search enables metadata searching, as well as restriction by category and location for edna resources.
Creating Search Results URLs
You can construct URLs to add searches of interest using any of the search parameters.
Example 1
URL using a search term frogs
http://api.edna.edu.au/search.html?q=frogs
In this example we are using only the Query text parameter 'q', leaving all other parameters to their
default values.
Example 2
URL using more than one search term and phrase. You can add additional search terms to focus your search.
This example uses 'frogs' and 'education' using the + to create a search query for resources which include both the words 'frogs' and 'education'.
This example includes three search terms 'english', 'learning' and 'education' and uses + to include them as terms in the search query.
This example includes two search terms 'english' and 'literacy' and uses the keyword contraint for phrase to create a search string on the phrase 'english literacy'.
Example 3
URL using more than one collection.
http://api.edna.edu.au/search.html?q=frogs&sr=edna&sr=merlot
This
example extends the search on the term 'frogs' to include both the edna
and MERLOT collections.
