edna consultations
Representatives of education.au, the agency that manages edna, will be visiting project stakeholders in all states and territories during July and August.
The edna 2010 planning and consultation is to seek feedback on future directions and identify opportunities for mutual benefit
between education providers and edna.

Online workshops in Live Classroom and Second Life
Places filled in a matter of hours as did a second day to handle the overflow. The waiting list for more sessions currently tops 80. Due to this demand, we will trial an ongoing series of workshops during the remainder of 2008 to determine whether these should be an addition to our regular offerings.

Internet use by Australian educators
edna has released findings of extensive market research into the use of technology by Australian educators across all sectors of learning.
The majority of educators 79% said the internet had become an essential part of their work, 36% regarded themselves as proficient and/or confident in their use of ICT .
And they cited a range of barriers:
- poor infrastructure (41%)
- content blocking (40%)
- limited access (21%)
- limited confidence or expertise (20%)
- lack of relevant resources on the internet (12%).
