AIMM Industrial Training has been providing quality operator training and assessment services to industry and the general public for over fifteen years. During this time we have trained and assessed many hundreds of students in forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack and walkie stacker (pedestrian operated forklift).

NEW FORKLIFT TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT PROCESS

From 1 July 2007, forklift licencing is delivered and assessed by registered training organisations who have been approved by DETA and Division of Workplace Health & Safety.

AIMM Industrial Training Pty Ltd is an approved training and assessment provider for forklift and order picking forklifts. Our courses are designed to meet the trainee’s and employers needs. We offer:

  • 4 day courses for forklifts
  • 3 day courses for forklifts
  • 2 day courses for forklifts and order pickers
  • Challenge testing for operators who meet the required criteria

General Participant Information

The following requirements are mandatory.

  1. Must be 18 years of age.
  2. Provide proof of identity, ideally with a photo.
  3. Must be able to read and understand English.
  4. 40 nominal hours of supervised forklift operation recorded in a log book.
  5. Must be able to complete a knowledge test.
  6. Must be able to complete a practical driving test.
  7. Trainees under the age of 18, can undertake training on a logbook scheme, but will not be eligible for a licence assessment test until they attain the age of 18.
  8. Persons living outside Australia are not eligible for assessment under this scheme.
  9. Persons living outside Queensland will not be licenced under this Scheme until a date to be determined in the future.

Training Centre

When a student has successfully completed their full licencing assessment with AIMM they will be issued with 2 copies of the Licence to Perform High Risk Work (LHRW) Assessment Summary. One copy for the licence application and the other the copy represents an interim authority to operate a forklift for 14 Days.

AIMM will provide every successful student with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment within 14 Days of assessment.

Students will be required to lodge their licence applications at any participating Australia Post Office in Queensland.

AIMM provides each student with an information flyer to assist with licence application.
