WATER: the ancient symbol of life, seen as having purifying and life-changing force. A simple pleasure. A natural endowment we take for granted in Tasmania. Producer of energy. Good to drink. Relaxing to be near and listen to. Lovely to look at. An inspiration for writers.

Fresh Water in Tasmania

2003 International Year of Fresh Water
This website, created collaboratively by high school students, celebrates the International Year of Fresh Water.  Our state, Tasmania, is famous for its beautiful waters and we hope this site will motivate visitors to come to see Tasmania and enjoy the places we have written about and photographed.  We welcome you to explore the creative writing on our site and join our community to take part yourself.
