An invitation to join an Access Grid presentation and discussion with Professor Jonathan Bradshaw on Indicators of Child Poverty and Child Wellbeing   Thursday 21 August 2008   Indicators of Child Poverty and Child Wellbeing Professor Jonathan Bradshaw BSS, MA (Dublin), D Phil (York) Traditional comparisons between countries of the status of children have used child income poverty rates. Some attention has been given to comparing the effort that states make to support families with the costs of rearing children. In the face of a growing realisation of the limitations of these approaches more broadly based child wellbeing indicators are starting to be used. Professor Bradshaw will review conceptual and analytical approaches, present some comparative findings, critically review the state of the art and discuss challenges for the future.
