Introduction
A Global Journey will give voice to teachers who have begun to include global perspectives in their work with secondary students. Evaluation by the Global Education Project in Victoria indicated that teachers would be interested in learning from peer experiences as they tried to build greater global awareness, knowledge and skills into their curriculum.
Six teachers will contribute their stories at approximately six-monthly intervals during 2008-09. In this, the first of four instalments, each teacher has reflected on the difficulties they encountered while introducing global education into the curriculum. Their brave writing will strike a cord with most educators and hopefully inspire them to give global education a prominent place in their own educational setting.
